I learned very quickly after hitting the publish button on my last post that I had made a mistake. My lesson: I am not a fashion blogger and do not want to be one. While I have had fun with fashion week fashion is not something I have a very good knowledge of. I had nothing interesting to say about the outfits or designers and if I did it would embarrassingly newbish. Most likely there will still be posts on style in my blog but of a much more casual nature, only about what I have personally learned through my own trials and tribulations and want to share.
I want to know what you think! Please vote in the poll to the right, below the about me section and leave any comments you have here. I know this is a small little blog with few fans, but if you are reading this right now I truly appreciate it and want to know why you come here, what you expect in terms of content, and what you'd like to see more or less of.
The Problogger book is now with me everywhere I go so that I can learn more and keep growing as a blogger. Finding a real niche has been a bit difficult; I'm the type of person that dabbles in this and that without getting really good at one thing. Sticking with things is hard as I tend to run out of things to say pretty quickly, but I really do enjoy blogging! I want to keep doing it and hopefully you want to keep reading. :)
As always
Keep searching,

I would be interested to hear your views on gorillas and other apes.
ReplyDeleteErrr no. You probably know more than me!
ReplyDeleteI definitely do not have a niche...like you, I "dabble in this and that."
ReplyDeleteps. I like the look of your blog! :)
If you keep dabbling, you'll suddenly notice that you don't run out of things to say _ever_. People are amazing creatures, and as complicated as we are, everything is related. When you dabble in everything, you get to see how the pieces fit together in ways other people didn't see. All the interesting people in the world are found where specialties cross over, because the results are so unpredictable.
ReplyDeleteAnd this is the view that leaves me confused as I try to "specialize" in being a "systems engineer". Specializing in knowing everything! Hurray!
